The EU ERDF-funded project VIBHear ("Innovationsverbund für integrierte, binaurale Hörsystemtechnik", innovation cluster for integrated binaural hearing system technology) is a three-year project with Universität Oldenburg, Hannover Medical School, and Jade Hochschule (Oldenburg). In five streams - each partner leads one - VIBHear wants to schieve a breakthrough in streamlining binaural technology for hearing aids and cochlear implants, independent of the manufacturers. Additionally, an objective, standardized decision path for medical indication of the specific hearing systems is targeted.
The overarching goal of our endeavour is to enable equal access to education and career oportunities for people with hearing impairment.
